I must confess that I have only watched my wedding video maybe three times, twice when we first got it, and then again when we transfered it to DVD. I'm averaging once every 4 years. I'm really glad that I have it, but it's not very entertaining. I think that is why I am now such a big fan of weddings filmed in Super 8. They are so much more entertaining and romantic. If you haven't seen one done this way, or have yet to be convinced, you should pay a visit to Paper Tape Films.
Paper Tape has more than a dozen locations scattered across the U.S. with more locations coming soon. The way it works, is a local professional films the wedding and then sends it to the real life Hollywood studio Fifty Foot. They then develop the film and edit it into a one of a kind masterpiece.
I know I'm not alone in secretly dreading it when friends make you watch their wedding video, but this is one your friends will enjoy and you'll want to watch more than once every 4 years. I don't even know the people in the sample videos and I still found myself tearing up a bit, especially when I watched the one from Nashville because that is so close to my hometown, and I'm very familiar with the area.
